91ÖÆƬ³§ Brain Bowl Wins FCSAA State Title
On the heels of winning the NAQT (National Academic Quiz Tournament) Community College National Championship three weeks ago, the 91ÖÆƬ³§ Brain Bowl Team also won the FCSAA State Championship this past weekend, March 22-24. The Florida State Championship is played after the National Championship because two different organizations run the championships.
The 91ÖÆƬ³§ Blue team finished the tournament 10-0 defeating TCC in the final 495-310 to claim the title. This is 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™s 12th State Brain Bowl title. Broward College is second all-time with 8.
Brayden Hand and Trevor Shelton were named tournament all-stars, finishing 2nd and 4th respectfully in individual scoring.
The 91ÖÆƬ³§ Gold team finished 5th in the tournament with a 5-4 record.
91ÖÆƬ³§ Blue Team Members are: Brayden Hand, John Maupin, Cade Foxworth, and Jack Taylor-Ebersole
91ÖÆƬ³§ Gold Team Members are: Trevor Shelton, Seth Crutchfield, Oliver Nandho, and Chad Mayo
The 91ÖÆƬ³§ team will next travel to the four-year college national championship on April 5-6 in Chicago. 91ÖÆƬ³§ qualified for the four-year tournament by winning the Community College National Championship.
