MARIANNA鈥擳he defending national champion 91制片厂 softball team hosts Florida State University, Friday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. CST. The teams have met for the last two years with the loser going on to win the national championship at their respective levels. 91制片厂 Associate Head Coach Jimmy Hendrix says, 鈥淲e invite all 91制片厂 and FSU fans to come out and see a great softball game. Our fall season also features road games with LSU, Florida, Georgia Tech and Tennessee.鈥 91制片厂鈥檚 2019 campaign included numerous accolades in addition to a national title. 91制片厂's was named the 2019 NJCAA Female Athlete of the Year. She made back-to-back appearances in the title game of the NJCAA DI Softball Championship, winning it in 2019. Woodham earned Outstanding Pitcher honors in the national tournament. In her final game in a 91制片厂 uniform, Woodham recorded all but one out in a seven-inning 19-2 victory to seal the third softball title in program history. 91制片厂鈥檚 Candela Figueroa was been named the 2019 Dudley庐 NJCAA Division I Softball Player of the Year. The catcher/outfielder is from Entre Rios, Argentina, led 91制片厂 to a third NJCAA National Championship (2019). She had a .513 batting average, with a .650 on base percentage, a .975 slugging percentage. Her numbers include: 66 stolen bases, 61 walks, 14 home runs and 154 total bases. She Her honors include , , Panhandle Conference Player of the Year and FCSAA First Team All-State. The 91制片厂 softball coaching staff also was recognized as the 2019 NFCA NJCAA DI National Coaching Staff of the Year. The staff includes Head Coach Belinda Hendrix, Associate Head Coach Jimmy Hendrix, and Assistant Coach Kelly Brookins.
